Globecast Service Expansion
CSC of Florida is proud to announce it has entered into a long term agreement with Globecast, a subsidiary of France Telecom.
CSC will provide collocation space and operational support for Globecast’s KU satellite service on Intelsat 903. The agreement contemplates significant expansion over the next 60 months. “The expansion of our agreement with Globecast further supports the joint relationship between our companies. Globecast is an excellent customer and we are pleased to see the increase in services between our companies,” said Charles E. Sackermann, Jr. President.
CSC, Inc. is a 40-year infrastructure communications company. Corporate Satellite Communications Florida, Inc. specializes in maritime VSAT and Audiovisual System Integration Services to education and commercial applications. In 2008 CSC acquired Digital Video Systems, a maritime installation and SI specialist, and merged its capabilities with CSC’s satellite operations creating a powerful new company designed to address a wide range of communications requirements for the maritime market. Globecast, a subsidiary of France Telecom, operates a secure global satellite and fiber network to manage and transport 10 million hours of video and other rich media each year. Globecast provides ingest, aggregation, transmission and repurposing of content for delivery to direct-to-home satellite, cable, IPTV, mobile and broadband headend applications, as well as, corporate and digital signage networks. Globecast’s fleet of SNG trucks is deployed globally to support coverage of major news and sporting events in SD and HDTV formats.
